Chad readily admits that much of what happens in life is beyond our control. But, he believes that by volunteering your time you can control where and how you make a difference in the lives of others. Although Chad has been volunteering for as long as he can remember, he is especially proud of his involvement with the “Don’t Stop Believing Toy Drive.”
For the past 16 holiday seasons, Chad has opened his home as a toy donation drop off, collecting more than 25,000 toys which are distributed through Catholic Charities. As the program has grown, Chad has added public drop off locations to accommodate the incredible number of donated toys. He says, “Every single year when I drop off the toys, the expressions on the faces of the employees and volunteers say it all. It’s the warmest feeling knowing that you are helping more than 100 families by providing gifts to put under the tree on Christmas morning.”
in addition to “Don’t Stop Believing,” Chad also volunteers for Catholic Charities of Fulton and Montgomery County, St. Mary’s Healthcare, and the Amsterdam Rotary, among others.
