Step 4 – Add positive information to your credit report

• The more information a lender has about you, the more likely they are to extend you credit. Having a steady job or the same address for a few years indicates you live a more stable lifestyle.
• In addition, all three of your credit reports may not contain the same information. If you find that there are accounts indicating a positive payment history that are not listed on your report, you can ask the creditor to report the information to the credit bureau and if this does not produce the results you want, you can send the bureau an account statement and cancelled checks to prove that you have been paying on time.
