Seminar: Business Series: QuickBooks 101 (three-part series)

QuickBooks™ is the leading accounting software utilized by small business owners across the country. The QuickBooks 101 series, offered by the NYS Small Business Development Center, is designed to assist new users of the software already installed. In order to follow along with all in-class exercises and demonstrations, use of QuickBooks Pro or higher is encourage.

Session 1: Getting Started and Setup
Thursday, September 17 from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m.
Basic functions of QuickBooks software, basic accounting principles, and understanding the importance of lists in QuickBooks

Session 2: Working with Accounts and Entering Transactions
Thursday, September 24 from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m.
Setting up bank accounts, recording sales, recording deposits, entering and paying bills and expenses

Session 3: Generating Financial Reports, Tracking Payables and Receivables
Thursday, October 1 from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m.
Overview of reports, using QuickBooks to track and pay vendors, invoice time, and track customer receivables

Cost is $99 for all three sessions, payable by check at the first session. When you register you are enrolling in all three sessions and it is strongly recommended that you attend all three for maximum benefit. Reservations are required.

Giving for Good

With more than 300,000 members, imagine the impact if each of us donated $1 each month to make a difference in our communities. Join the thousands of members who are doing just that through SEFCU's Giving for Good program. Agree to donate the minimum $1 per month and we'll transfer the funds from your account automatically each month.

And, when you sign up for Giving for Good between August 13 and August 31, you'll be entered to win* a $250 donation that you can make to a charity of your choice.

Enroll in Giving for Good at any branch or by logging in to SEFCU OnLine and clicking on "Additional Services" and then "Giving for Good Form."

*One winner will be selected in the Capital Region, Central NY, Western NY, and the southern tier. The charity selected must be a 501(c)(3) and fall within SEFCU's giving guidelines. SEFCU will send the check to the non-profit on your behalf. SEFCU employees not eligible.
