Recently, SEFCU employees delivered much needed supplies to local and regional shelters and organizations that serve the homeless and those in need. This is all part of SEFCU’s Giving for Good Program.
This program allows SEFCU members and employees to donate each month. SEFCU also matches all employee Giving For Good contributions to help our local communities in need. This year-long initiative allowed SEFCU to recently donate $20,000 of personal care items.
Nearly a dozen organizations and shelters received these goods, including the YWCA of the Greater Capital Region.

“Giving for Good is SEFCU’s culture,” said SEFCU’s Chief Administrative Officer Barbara Hess. “This is what we do. This is the heart of SEFCU. And, it’s so important that we have an opportunity for SEFCU employees and its members to work together to do something really great in the community.”
“As a SEFCU Employee, Giving for Good is probably the easiest but yet most rewarding program I’ve been a part of,” said Member Service Advisor Michael Greenberg. “After initially filling out my donation form, it is a great feeling knowing each month that I can make an impact right here in my local community and truly doing my part to Change Lives Every Day.”
