Setup Apple PayTM

Get Started:

You can start using Apple Pay as soon as you add a credit or debit card to your iPhone® 6 or 6 Plus Passbook. Here's what you need:
  • An iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, or newer
  • iPad® Air 2 or iPad mini 3 can use Apple Pay within apps
  • iOS 8.1 or later
  • United States as your selected region
  • Touch ID or passcode on your device
  • iCloud account
  • SEFCU Mastercard® credit and/or debit card

To set up Apple Pay on an iPhone 6 or iPhone 6 Plus, open Passbook and follow the steps below. To set it up on an iPad Air 2 or iPad mini 3, go to Settings > Passbook & Apple Pay and follow the steps below.

Add a new card using your device's iSight camera

  1. On an iPhone, if you don't have any cards or passes, tap "Set Up Apple Pay." If you do have cards or passes, pull down your pass stack and tap "Apple Pay Icon 4" in the upper right corner. On an iPad, tap "Add Credit or Debit Card."
  2. Select "Use a Different Credit or Debit Card."
  3. On the Card Details screen, tap the camera icon. You can also enter your SEFCU Mastercard information manually.
  4. Position your SEFCU Mastercard in the frame to capture your card information.
  5. Enter the security code and any other information that doesn't automatically appear.
  6. Tap "Next" to verify your SEFCU Mastercard.
  7. After your card is verified, tap "Next."
  8. Agree to the Terms & Conditions.
  9. To complete the verification process check "Next," you will be directed to call a number to validate your card. Representatives are available Monday through Friday from 2 p.m. to 11 p.m. EST and Saturday and Sunday from 1 p.m. to 10 p.m., at 866-444-2191. When calling you will need:
    1. The name on the card - exactly as shown
    2. Last four digits of your Social Security Number
    3. Date of Birth

After confirming these pieces of information you will be told that "Token has been activated and card is ready to use." Navigate back to Passbook on your iPhone 6 or 6 Plus and you will receive a message "Card is ready for Apple Pay." Happy shopping!

Upon successfully adding a SEFCU card to Apple Pay, you will receive a notice from SEFCU confirming your registration. If you receive this notice and did not set up a mobile wallet, visit any branch or contact the Member Solutions Center at 800-727-3328.

You can use Apple Pay with your eligible iPhone to pay in stores that accept contactless payments. You can also pay with Apple Pay within participating apps that sell physical goods and services, like groceries, clothing, tickets, and more.
