Bowl for Kids' Sake

SEFCU goes green!
It’s easy to talk about protecting our environment, but actually doing something about it is another story. SEFCU has made the commitment to go green and we have a number of initiatives planned for 2008! This year all new SEFCU members will receive a reusable grocery bag with an energy efficient light bulb as well as some tips on how to live green. But that’s not all, check out our first round of initiatives!
SEFCU forest To replenish natural resources and keep our air clean, SEFCU will be planting a tree for every existing member and for all new members in 2008 across New York State, totaling over 156,000 trees!
Green loans To encourage our members to buy environmentally friendly cars, SEFCU is offering a ¼% rate reduction on specific eco-friendly vehicle loans. Click here for vehicles classified as SmartWay Elite in the EPA Green Vehicle Guide.

*Annual Percentage Rate. Rates for a Home Equity Line of Credit begin at 5.25% APR for the first year and are Prime minus 1% thereafter. This rate applies to loans up to an 80% Loan to Value(LTV) ratio with a 25 year term. APR is variable based on the Prime Rate published in the Wall Street Journal. Prime Rate as of February 15, 2008 is 6.0%. Interest and payments adjust annually with a 2% annual cap and a 14.9% lifetime cap. Annual rate floor is 5.0%. Other rates available are dependent upon LTV percentage. All loans are subject to creditworthiness. If the home equity line is discharged within 3 years of application, the closing costs paid on behalf of the borrower will be charged back and added to the pay off amount of the loan.
