SEFCU goes green!
Over the past few years, more attention has been given to the environment, and “going green” has become a popular topic. At SEFCU, going green is more than just a catchphrase. For us, it means re-evaluating the credit union from top to bottom and searching for ways to win the battle to preserve our environment.
As we strive to achieve success in going green, we will make changes to the way we design and deliver products, buy materials, and even construct our offices. At the same time, we'll ensure that we continue to provide top-notch services for our members.
In addition, SEFCU will also educate members about how we can have an impact on the environment and provide tips, solutions, and resources. Get started today by reviewing the information on this site and learn how you can make small changes that will have a big impact on the environment.
“Going green” is more than just a public relations statement. It is a process in which SEFCU can take the lead in corporate responsibility and take a stand in protecting the environment for future generations.
Goff Middle School goes green!
Recently, nine students from Goff Middle School participated in a national “green” challenge to help make a difference in the environment, starting right with our community. Their mission was to educate individuals about how to save energy and provide suggestions about how people can reduce their carbon footprint.
As part of the challenge, the students sent an e-mail that asked recipients to respond with any ideas or suggestions about what they are doing in their everyday life to protect the environment. The e-mail reached 10 countries and generated 1,500 suggestions with eco-friendly ideas in just 15 days!
SEFCU congratulates these students for their efforts and for helping to continue our mission of “going green.” To learn more about the challenge, visit www.goffgonegreen.com.
