Upgrading your home’s energy efficiency? SEFCU can save you money in the process with Energy Smart Loans, which offer major reductions of interest rates for eligible projects. Use Energy Smart Loans to install energy-efficient windows and appliances, solar panels and other items that help create or conserve energy efficiently.
To get started, apply here for a SEFCU home equity loan or personal loan*; then fill out a Borrower Package from NYSERDA—the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority. *Members can qualify for an unsecured personal loan with any approved improvement, including the installation of Energy Star® appliances, heat pump hot water heaters, or grid-connected photovoltaic or wind turbine systems. Maximum borrow amount for personal loan option is $7,500.
