SEFCU’s commitment to education starts with our youngest members. In 2009 the credit union presented $18,000 in scholarships to SEFCU members in the Capital Region, Binghamton, Buffalo and Syracuse to help alleviate some of the financial burden higher education places on families.
The application process for the 2009 year is over. Please check back in the fall to apply for next year's award.
Each year SEFCU, in conjunction with the Credit Union Association of New York, offers $1,000 awards to college-bound students.
Who is eligible:
• SEFCU members who are seniors in high school
• Students planning to attend an accredited two or four-year college
Timeline
• December - applications are available
• Late January - applications were due to SEFCU
• During the month of May, 2010, scholarship winners are announced
