The membership application is quick and easy to complete in as little as seven or eight minutes. Once we receive your application and verify the information, your initial deposit will be debited from your checking account at your current financial institution. You will receive your SEFCU member number online once you complete the process.

Already a SEFCU Member? To open an additional savings account, Share Certificate, or checking account, log into your SEFCU OnLine account and click "Add Account."

2)In Person - Visit any SEFCU branch and a representative will be glad to assist you!

3)By Mail - Complete and sign our easy-to-use application. If mailing the application, please send it along with a copy of your valid driver's license and a check or money order for $25 made payable to SEFCU. These funds represent one share in SEFCU and must remain on deposit in your account at all times. Mail to: New Accounts, Patroon Creek Corporate Center, 700 Patroon Creek Blvd., Albany, NY 12206-1067. After we process your application, we’ll send your account information via mail.

While you’re joining, ask your family to join too! Because you’re eligible, members of your immediate family* are also.

*Defined as spouse, child, sibling, parent, grandparent or grandchild and including stepparents, stepchildren, stepsiblings and adoptive relationships. Household is defined as persons living in the same residence maintaining a single economic unit.
